| For You marked Prince's debut album. It featured a toned down version of his "Minneapolis sound," however, suffered from overproduction. His writing skills still needed some tweaking, but all the elements that would make Prince a star were present. Overall, the album is a good debut full of fun songs and rainy day ballads.
