Albums by Alanis Morissette, Toni Braxton and the artist formerly known as Prince racked up impressive sales during the month of February, according to the latest figures released by the Recording Industry Association of America.

Morissette's Jagged Little Pill reached the 15 million mark last month, making it the highest debut ever for a female artist.

Braxton, who won this year's Grammy Award for female pop and r & b vocal, saw her self-titled debut hit the 8 million mark.

The artist formerly known as Prince garnered double platinum for the triple CD Emancipation.
