Title: "Prince Tickets Back on Sale"
Written By: Staff

Tickets for Prince's rescheduled shows Saturday and Sunday at the Event Center at San Jose State go on sale at 10 a.m. today at four locations. Tickets are $40 and pains are being taken to avoid block sales to scalpers, the reason Prince cited for canceling his earlier show.

A voucher system and a random-distribution system will be in place at the Warfield Theater, 982 Market St.; the Paramount Theatre, 2025 Broadway, Oakland; the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View; and the Event Center, Seventh and Carlos streets, San Jose.

Customers may line up beginning at 8 a.m. today. Ticket agents will hand out a number to each customer. A number will then be called at random, and the person with that number will become first in line. All numbers called will then line up consecutively behind that person.

Customers must have photo ID to purchase a voucher for as many as four tickets. A voucher can be purchased for both nights, as long as the total number of tickets does not exceed four.

Vouchers must be exchanged for tickets at the Event Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. the night of show. Ticket buyers must use the same ID at the ticket window that they used in purchasing the voucher.
