The Artist Formerly Known As Prince - TAFKAP for short - is coming out of seclusion to announce his freedom from "slavery," tour the world and to greet his first-born child. A new triple-CD album, Emancipation, is scheduled for a Nov. 19 release, and 14 of its 36 songs were previewed yesterday in a high-security listening session for Toronto music critics and records retailers.

TAFKAP wasn't personally involved in the session, but his lawyer, Londell McMillan, said it was the start of a two-year publicity blitz to point to a new mature musical direction
