Title: "6:00 AM Start Fails To Dampen Enthusiasm For Prince/TAFKAP/The Artist Campaign"
Written By: Staff

Around 100 fans made an early morning visit to HMV Oxford Circus in London to see a video relay from the album launch party for The Artist Formerly Known As Prince in Minneapolis on Wednesday. The Artist was performing at Paisley Park studios to celebrate the end of his deal with Warner and the beginning of his new deal with EMI Records, which sees his three-CD album Emancipation released today (Monday 18). The HMV store opened at 8am for the satellite broadcast, which featured a performance of seven songs. The event followed a similar screening for 200 retail, media and EMI executives at west London's Belvedere Hotel, which started at 6am. The album had shipped 150,000 units before today's release.
