Title: "Prince: He's Back"
Written By:
Previously Prince will revert to his semi-original name-he was born
Prince Nelson -and drop the unpronounceable symbol he's been using
for three years. Why? Because he has nine songs he recorded as Prince
on the soundtrack of "Girl Six," Spike Lee's new movie, plus three
TAFKAP songs, including the title track. The confusion would have made
marketing the album a nightmare." He’s doing it because of his
friendship with Spike," a source told Manhattan File's Roger Friedman,
who also reports Prince changed his name in 1993 to free himself from
his contract with Warner.
