Select U.S. high school students were invited to attend a paisley Christmas party over the weekend, thanks to The Artist.

The ex-Prince hosted "Christmas At Paisley Park," at his Minneapolis-area home and recording complex.

The guests were chosen and invited according to their report cards, which were sent to local radio stations, says a Variety report.

The one-time Prince even performed at the party, which was hosted by his charity, Love 4 One Another.

The charity's mission is to bring people together for discussions of ideas and problems.
