TAFKAP and Mayte are expecting Impending fatherhood seems to have restored TAFKAP's (also known as the artist formerly known as Prince) once wicked sense of humor, if his press release-cum-birth-announcement is any indication: "glyph is about to assume another name: Dad." Well, maybe it's only a partial revival.

In any event, for the scandal-mongers out there, no, the Purple One and dancer Mayte didn't *have* to get married on Valentine's Day (except for publicity reasons) -- their bundle of joy is not due until November. The release seems to indicate that the couple will wait until then to find out the baby's gender, but they are confident that he or she will be "The Most Beautiful Baby in the World." That being such a clumsy name to learn to write, we thought we'd suggest a few other monikers for the Princely pair to consider:

The Pink One (if it's a girl)
The Blue One (if it's a boy)
The Purple One, jr. (if it's androgynous like its dad)
The Baby Formerly known as sonogram
Glyph, Jr.
