Title: "Off To A Good Start"
Written By: Robin DeRosa
"The Gold Experience" has already gone gold.
Released last Tuesday, the new album by the Artist Formerly Known as
Prince had sold 500,000 copies by Friday. Symbol Man is also garnering
attention for an unreleased song that gently pokes fun at the newly opened
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame & Museum in Cleveland. On "Rock N' Roll Is
Alive (And It Lives in Minneapolis)," the ex-Prince seems to slyly comment
on another rock giant, Elvis Presley: "Sure as the land of 10,000 lakes
is sometimes made of snow / There'll always be another king to die
butt-naked on the floor."
