Title: "Manager Says Prince To Quit Touring"
Written By: AP
Academy Award-winning rock star Prince gave some strange answers when asked
about his plans, but his manager said the flamboyant singer will quit touring
when his current 32-city swing ends Sunday. The concert at Miami's Orange Bowl
"will be his last live appearance for an indeterminate number of years," manager
Steve Fargnoli said yesterday in a statement issued by the singer's public
relations company, the Howard Bloom Organization.
It quoted Fargnoli as saying, "I asked Prince what he planned to do. He told
me, I'm going to look for the ladder.'
"So I asked him what that meant. All he said was, Sometimes it snows in
April.'"
The statement said nothing about Prince's plans for records, tapes or movies.
Prince won an Oscar last month for best original score for his movie "Purple
Rain." The album of the same name has been a top seller.
